The Challenge
The Rooms is more than a gallery or museum—it’s the curator of Newfoundland and Labrador’s cultural DNA. While it enjoyed strong support and foot traffic from tourists, many locals saw it as a “one and done” destination. This perception of stagnance created a barrier for resident audiences, preventing repeat visits and deeper engagement. The challenge: reposition The Rooms as a dynamic cultural hub where every visit could spark new connections.
Strategy
Strategy
Our goal was to invite locals to rediscover The Rooms and see themselves reflected in its stories. To achieve this, we developed a new creative platform with a more playful, colourful approach to both design and language. This included a refreshed wordmark and website redesign to virtually “open up” The Rooms, making it more accessible and inviting for residents.
Execution
Execution
We combined strategic storytelling with vibrant creative to reach resident audiences where they live, work, and play. Across every touchpoint, The Rooms was reframed as an evolving cultural space where locals could always discover something new.
